On 6th October the whole school had fun supporting two charities: CAFOD and Gorleston Foodbank. Every child came in to school wearing their own choice of bright clothing and donated an amount of money for the privilege. This money has been donated to CAFOD for the annual Harvest fundraising event.
We raised an amazing £167.86 – well done to all parents and pupils!
In addition, children also brought in items of non-perishable food to be donated to our local foodbank in Gorleston.
Children were supported in their learning about this important charitable process, of giving to others less fortunate, through a visit to the school by a CAFOD representative. Mrs Savelli led Collective Worship and helped the children to understand the importance that charitable giving, like theirs for Harvest 2017, is and the difference this can make to other peoples lives.
