COMPUTING

At SMSP, we recognise how important technology is in our everyday lives and the lives of our children. We teach our children the knowledge and skills needed to access the digital world effectively, creatively and safely. We aim to equip our children for adult life in an increasingly technological world and provide them with the knowledge to adapt within the ever – progressing digital world.

You can help your child at home by encouraging them to practice the coding skills they have worked on in school. We recommend using Scratch and Scratch Jr where your child can practice coding there own games and see examples from other coders from around the world.

You can download the scratch jr app from your device or visit https://www.scratchjr.org/.

We also offer a variety of computing clubs for after school and lunchtimes. For more information  please speak to our school office.
