School Disco

June 25th, 2015

The children in Reception had a fantastic time at the school disco this evening, showing off their dance moves! Some of the children joined in with the games, such as musical bumps and football. Everyone left feeling tired but very happy!

Trip to the Sea Life Centre

June 24th, 2015

Today, the children in Reception and Year 1 visited the Sea Life Centre in Gt. Yarmouth. The children got to see so many wonderful creatures, including sharks, crocodiles, penguins and clown fish. We listened to a talk about crabs and even got to touch one! We also saw an octopus, starfish, seahorse and lots of jellyfish! We all really enjoyed walking through the ocean tunnel and watching the giant turtle and sharks swim above us!  The children were all incredibly well behaved and represented our school beautifully.

Spring and New Life

In Reception, the children have been searching for signs of Spring, doing observational drawings and labelling them. To support their mathematical development, the children have been measuring plants and flowers using non-standard units, such as cubes and bricks.  We had a lovely time celebrating signs of new life, particularly thinking about how Jesus rose again and the joy this brings us. We made brightly coloured ribbons and used them to create a dance outside to celebrate this special time.
